Cumberland Doubles AM Capacity

In a move to strategically diversify and enhance existing customer verticals, Cumberland Additive, Inc. has reached an agreement with Stratasys Direct Manufacturing to assume operations of its metal additive manufacturing operations in Austin, Texas.

6K Additive to Supply Ni718 Powder to Cumberland

6K Additive and Cumberland Additive announced a partnership that includes a long term agreement (LTA) where 6K Additive will supply CAI with Ni718 powder. The LTA also calls for expansion to supply an additional volume of nickel powder as well as additional alloys to support CAI’s rapidly expanding production requirements.

JEOL To Install New Metal 3D Printer At Cumberland Additive

JEOL USA and Cumberland Additive are pleased to announce that Cumberland’s Neighborhood 91 facility in Pittsburgh will be the first installation in North America of JEOL’s new Electron Beam Melting Powder Bed Fusion system. This new metal 3D Printed E-Beam system will expand capabilities, primarily for serial production of parts.

Cumberland Additive appoints Mark Straszheim to oversee the operations at the Neighborhood 91 advanced manufacturing production campus. Mark assumes the position of Regional Director and Advanced Materials Lead, supervising the construction of the 17,000 square foot facility, managing the installation of new advanced manufacturing equipment, and leading the organization’s day-to-day sustainable operations.
